Norwegian Air Sweden officially launches seasonal Stockholm–Hamburg route

Norwegian Air Sweden has officially launched its seasonal service linking Stockholm and Hamburg, adding a notable new option on the Nordic–Northern Germany corridor just ahead of the peak summer travel period. The new route is designed not only to serve leisure, visiting friends and relatives, and short business travel demand, but also to strengthen the carrier’s regional market presence with a city pair offering steady appeal.

The launch of the Stockholm–Hamburg route underscores Norwegian Air Sweden’s strategy of expanding connectivity between major Nordic cities and Germany’s dynamic economic centers. In a market already served by Eurowings and Scandinavian Airlines, Norwegian Air Sweden’s entry is expected to intensify competition in both schedule choice and fares, particularly during the high summer season.

In the initial phase, the airline will operate the route with multiple weekly flights before settling into a schedule of three round trips per week, using Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, continues to attract travelers with its stunning archipelago, the historic Gamla Stan district, and renowned museums such as the Vasa Museum. The city offers a distinctive blend of Nordic elegance, waterfront scenery, and a vibrant contemporary creative scene.

In the opposite direction, Hamburg ranks among Europe’s most important port cities, known for the UNESCO-listed Speicherstadt, the Elbphilharmonie on the Elbe, and its unmistakable maritime character. It is also a major commercial, logistics, and cultural hub in northern Germany, making it well suited to both leisure travelers and business passengers.
