Jeju Air officially launches Jeju–Seoul Incheon route

Jeju Air has officially launched a new route linking Jeju with Seoul Incheon, adding an important new domestic connectivity option in South Korea. The new service expands the carrier’s presence in a high-demand travel corridor while providing passengers with a more convenient way to travel between the country’s largest resort island and South Korea’s main international aviation gateway.

Adding Jeju to Incheon Airport’s route network carries clear strategic significance for Jeju Air. Beyond serving leisure and visiting-friends-and-relatives demand, the route also supports connecting traffic via the capital region, strengthening the airline’s network competitiveness and optimizing passenger flows between the domestic market and international itineraries.

In the initial phase, Jeju Air is operating the route with a limited frequency on selected days of the week, using the Boeing 737-800 and, on some flights, the Boeing 737 MAX 8.

Jeju has long been one of South Korea’s defining tourism icons, renowned for its volcanic landscapes, dramatic coastlines, and distinctive resort lifestyle. Visitors are drawn to Hallasan, the UNESCO-recognized lava tubes, as well as scenic coastal drives and seasonal flower fields that give the island its unique appeal.

At the other end of the route, Seoul stands as South Korea’s economic, cultural, and creative center, where tradition and modernity intersect in powerful ways. From landmarks such as Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village to vibrant shopping boulevards and the global aviation ecosystem centered on Incheon, the city remains a key destination for both business and leisure travelers.
