Aer Lingus (EI) officially launches seasonal Dublin (DUB) - Inverness (INV) service

Aer Lingus has officially inaugurated its seasonal route between Dublin and Inverness, adding a new air link between Ireland and the Scottish Highlands. The new service not only strengthens the carrier’s regional network but also provides a convenient nonstop option for leisure travelers, visiting friends and relatives traffic, and business demand.

Aer Lingus’ expansion to Inverness underscores a clear strategic focus in broadening connectivity from the Irish capital to distinctive destinations across the United Kingdom. Dublin is Ireland’s principal aviation gateway, while Inverness serves as the main access point to the Scottish Highlands, renowned for dramatic scenery, Celtic heritage, and year-round tourism appeal. The nonstop route shortens journey times, removes the need for connections, and enhances access between two markets with strong overlap in tourism, services, and community ties.

Under the planned operating schedule, the route is served twice weekly with ATR 72 aircraft, a capacity well suited to seasonal demand patterns and optimized for short-haul efficiency. This frequency offers passengers meaningful flexibility during the peak summer travel period.
