JetBlue (B6) launches Orlando (MCO) – Fort Lauderdale (FLL) route

JetBlue has officially inaugurated a new route linking Orlando and Fort Lauderdale, adding an important intra-Florida air bridge. The new service not only provides business and leisure travelers with another fast and convenient travel option, but also strengthens the carrier’s presence in one of the most dynamic domestic markets in the United States.

JetBlue’s move between two of Florida’s major tourism gateways carries significance beyond a short-haul route. Orlando is the state’s premier entertainment capital, while Fort Lauderdale serves as South Florida’s vibrant coastal gateway, close to the region’s financial, tourism, and cruise hubs. With competition already in place from Spirit Airlines and Southwest Airlines, JetBlue’s entry adds further depth to the market while expanding onward connectivity within its network from South Florida to destinations across the United States, the Caribbean, and Latin America.

In the initial phase, the route is being operated daily with two round trips, with an additional frequency to be added on certain days of the week from mid-June. JetBlue is deploying the Airbus A320, well suited to the flexible demand profile of this short but high-volume sector between the two cities.

Orlando is a global symbol of the entertainment industry, where world-class theme parks generate demand almost year-round. Beyond its leisure image, however, the city also offers a youthful energy, a well-developed convention ecosystem, and an increasingly diverse retail and dining scene.
