Qingdao Airlines (QW) launches Changsha (CSX) - Manila (MNL) route

Qingdao Airlines has officially inaugurated a new route between Changsha and Manila, adding another direct air link between central China and the Philippine capital. The new service not only broadens travel options for passengers, but also injects fresh momentum into tourism, trade and people-to-people exchanges between two fast-growing markets.

The launch to Manila marks a notable step in the carrier’s international network expansion strategy, particularly in Southeast Asia. Changsha is a key gateway for Hunan Province, bringing together industry, commerce and rising consumer demand, while Manila stands as one of the Philippines’ leading economic, financial and logistics hubs. The new nonstop service shortens journey times, delivers a clear time-saving advantage and strengthens connectivity between two dynamic metropolitan centers, helping stimulate two-way travel demand.

During the initial phase of operations, the route is being served multiple times per week with Airbus A320 aircraft. Flight schedules are being adjusted flexibly across different periods in May and early June to cater to both business travel and short leisure trips.

Changsha is among the most vibrant cities in central China, where modern development blends with the deep historical heritage of Hunan.
