Eurowings (EW) launches Berlin (BER) - Olbia (OLB) route

Eurowings has officially inaugurated nonstop service between Berlin and Olbia, adding a new air link between the German capital and one of Sardinia’s leading leisure gateways. The new route marks a further expansion of the carrier’s presence in the Mediterranean leisure segment as summer holiday demand begins to accelerate.

The significance of this nonstop service extends beyond simply adding another travel option. Berlin is a dynamic metropolitan hub that combines business traffic, a vibrant creative community and substantial international leisure demand, while Olbia serves as a key access point to the renowned Costa Smeralda, where the upscale resort sector plays a central economic role. By strengthening direct connectivity, Eurowings is not only reducing journey times but also making a strategic move to bring German travelers to Sardinia more conveniently, while increasing competitive pressure on incumbent operators in this market.

In the initial phase, the route is being operated with two weekly round trips, scheduled at the beginning and end of the week, catering to both short breaks and longer holidays. Eurowings is deploying Airbus A320 and Airbus A320neo aircraft, providing an efficient operating platform for short- and medium-haul leisure services.

Berlin is a city shaped by layers of history and constantly evolving creative energy.
