Xiamen Air has officially launched nonstop round-trip service between Hangzhou and Manila, adding a new air link between eastern China and the Philippine capital. The new route not only significantly shortens travel time, but also provides fresh momentum for clearly rising two-way demand across business travel, trade and tourism.

The introduction of this service carries notable significance within Asia’s regional connectivity landscape. Hangzhou is a dynamic growth hub closely associated with the digital economy, e-commerce and the cultural appeal of the Jiangnan region, while Manila serves as a key economic, financial and services gateway for the Philippines. By establishing nonstop flights, Xiamen Air is strengthening links between two high-potential markets while reinforcing its strategic footprint across an international network that continues to expand.

The route is operated four round trips per week using the Boeing 737-800. This deployment reflects the carrier’s flexible approach, meeting current demand while laying the groundwork for a stronger presence as the market grows.

Hangzhou stands out for its blend of historical depth and modern development. Its most iconic landmark is West Lake, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its poetic scenery, which has inspired East Asian poetry, painting and garden design for centuries.
