Qingdao Airlines Officially Launches Changsha–Manila Route

Qingdao Airlines has officially inaugurated a new route linking Changsha and Manila, adding another direct air connection between central China and the Philippine capital. The new service marks a notable step in the carrier’s international network expansion strategy while offering a more convenient travel option for both leisure passengers and growing bilateral business demand.

By adding Manila to its operating network, Qingdao Airlines is strengthening its presence in Southeast Asia, a market seeing increasingly dynamic demand for tourism and economic connectivity. As Changsha serves as a key hub in Hunan Province, the new route not only shortens travel time to the Philippines but also supports broader exchanges in trade, education, and tourism between the two cities.

In the initial phase, the airline is operating the route with multiple weekly frequencies using Airbus A320 aircraft, aligning with market demand and the steady development strategy for the new service.

Changsha, the capital of Hunan, is one of central China’s most dynamic cities, known for its rich history and modern vitality. The city is closely associated with Orange Isle on the Xiang River, the millennium-old Yuelu Academy, and the distinctive cultural landscape surrounding Yuelu Mountain.

Manila is a major gateway to the Philippines, where colonial heritage, urban energy, and maritime culture converge. Visitors are often drawn to Intramuros, Rizal Park, and Manila Bay, renowned for some of the region’s most spectacular sunsets.
