Technical Issue Details
•The Airbus A320-214 (D-AIUK) was operating flight LH2424 from Munich (MUC) to Oslo (OSL).
•While enroute at FL350, approximately 140 nautical miles north of Munich, the flight crew received high-pressure fuel valve and thrust reverser fault indications.
Outcome / Handling
•In consultation with engineering, the crew decided to return to Munich.
•The aircraft turned around and landed safely on runway 08L at Munich Airport approximately 35 minutes after the decision to return.
Current Status
•Post-landing inspections confirmed that the indications were false.
•Maintenance personnel replaced the Engine Interface Unit (EIU) before returning the aircraft to service.
•No passenger injuries or aircraft damage were reported.
