Technical Issue DetailsWhile cruising at FL370 over Atlanta, the captain's primary flight displays—specifically the Air Speed Indication (ASI) and Altimeter (ALT)—went blank and displayed red flags. The crew declared a Mayday emergency and initiated the 'Airspeed Unreliable' checklist.
Outcome / HandlingBy completing the checklist and switching to an alternate air data source, the crew successfully restored the instrument readings. The emergency declaration was downgraded to a PAN PAN and later cancelled with air traffic control. The aircraft continued to Miami for a safe landing.
Current StatusADS-B transponder data from the aircraft stopped transmitting at FL350 during the incident and did not resume for the remainder of the flight. FAA radar data confirmed the aircraft subsequently climbed to FL370 to continue to Miami. The occurrence was reported to the TSB of Canada for investigation.
