Eurowings officially launches nonstop Berlin–Sarajevo service
Eurowings has officially inaugurated its new nonstop route between Berlin and Sarajevo, adding another important link to the airline’s European network. The new service provides a more convenient travel option between the German capital and the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, serving demand across leisure, visiting friends and relatives, and business travel.
The addition of Sarajevo to Eurowings’ Berlin network underscores the carrier’s selective expansion strategy in Southeast Europe, where demand for direct connectivity to Germany’s major hubs continues to grow. Beyond shortening journey times for passengers at both ends of the market, the route also strengthens Sarajevo’s accessibility from one of Europe’s most important aviation gateways.
In the initial phase, Eurowings is operating the route with one weekly round-trip flight using an Airbus A320.
Berlin continues to reinforce its appeal as one of Europe’s most dynamic cities, where history and creativity are closely intertwined. The city is renowned for the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag building, remnants of the Berlin Wall, and a vibrant cultural scene that attracts both business travelers and leisure visitors.
In the opposite direction, Sarajevo offers a distinctive Balkan identity shaped by centuries of exchange between East and West. The city stands out for the historic Baščaršija quarter, the landmark bridges spanning the Miljacka River, and a rich cultural depth tied to defining moments in European history.
