Delta Air Lines resumes nonstop New York–Santa Ana service

Delta Air Lines has officially resumed nonstop roundtrip service between New York and Santa Ana, restoring Orange County to the carrier’s transcontinental network from John F. Kennedy International Airport. The reinstatement of this route marks a further strengthening of Delta’s presence in the Southern California market, while providing an additional convenient option for both business and leisure travelers.

The New York–Santa Ana route carries strategic importance by directly linking one of the United States’ largest financial and media centers with the dynamic residential and economic base of Orange County. Beyond point-to-point demand, the service also enhances Delta’s connecting opportunities via New York, as the airline competes with American Airlines in the same market.

In the initial phase, Delta is operating the route daily with the Boeing 757-200, providing stable capacity for transcontinental travel between the East Coast and Southern California.

New York remains a global gateway, drawing travelers with iconic attractions such as Manhattan, Times Square, Central Park, and the Statue of Liberty. The city is not only a leading economic hub, but also one of the world’s most influential destinations for culture, the arts, and gastronomy.

At the other end of the route, Santa Ana serves as a convenient gateway to Orange County, a region known for its beautiful coastline, affluent communities, and premier leisure destinations in Southern California.
