Wizz Air UK (W9) launches London (LTN) – Zakynthos (ZTH) route

Wizz Air UK has officially inaugurated nonstop service between London and Zakynthos, adding a new travel option for leisure traffic between the United Kingdom and Greece’s Ionian Islands. The new route marks a notable expansion of the carrier’s Mediterranean leisure network while strengthening its presence in a high-demand summer seasonal market.

The new air link connects one of Europe’s most dynamic metropolitan areas with a renowned island destination known for its turquoise scenery, broadening opportunities for both short breaks and longer holidays. With nonstop service, passengers can reach Zakynthos more efficiently instead of connecting via other Greek gateways. Against a competitive backdrop that includes Jet2 and easyJet, Wizz Air UK’s latest move underscores its ambition to reinforce its position in the value-oriented segment, stimulate additional leisure demand, and unlock new growth potential between the UK and Greece.

The route is operated with one weekly round trip on Saturdays using the Airbus A321neo. This deployment allows the airline to balance operating efficiency with capacity suited to peak leisure demand.
